We all know that we should be drinking a lot of water throughout the day but if we are being honest, most of us come up short quite often. I was guilty of this myself until recently I made one small change that has made a massive difference with very little effort.

Every morning I fill up my shaker cup with water and drink the whole thing BEFORE I pour myself a cup of coffee.

In 5 minutes it takes to walk my dog I am able to get 24 ounces of water in before my day has begun. When I pour my cup of joe, I refill my shaker as well, and I keep both close to be as I go through my morning routine. With this small change, I’ve been successful in drinking 48 ounces of water before heading out the door to go to work (That’s more than I was getting in throughout the entire day just a few weeks ago).

Tip: Aim to get 4-6 more of those shakers down before 2pm. It’s super easy if you keep it close to you. You can begin to draw back your intake during the second half of the day so you don’t interrupt your valuable sleep time getting up to pee through the night.
