Change is scary. Everybody hates change. Any normal person experiences some form of anxiety or even fear when change is taking place. It’s normal and it’s okay.
There was a time when the fear of someone saying “you’ve changed” controlled my life. I heard it as an insult. As I have grown and become more self aware, I have learned that this is the best compliment anyone could ever pay me.
Today, my biggest fear is being the same person a year from now as I am today. I am on a warpath of endless personal development, working toward my definition of success. YOU get to choose your definition too!

Yet, that’s what most people do throughout a lifetime. They tell themselves: “Today, I will be healthier, eat better, and exercise.” But they don’t actually DO anything differently.
They try the same routine and hope it will work this time. Hope is not a strategy! Nothing changes if nothing changes.
Epictetus taught us that “Every event has two handles – one by which it can be carried, and one by which it can’t.” There’s really no guarantee that grabbing the other handle will deliver us monumental results, but why continue to lift the handle that hasn’t worked?
